Housing Resources

Whether you are new to CUA or are a continuing student, we have compiled the below resources to help answer additional housing-related questions you might have. Should you have additional questions, please contact us so that we may serve you better.

Welcome to Housing Services

This site is designed to provide you with information regarding on-campus housing, residence halls, upcoming housing dates, and other housing-related services. Updates regarding timely information are highlighted below and included in the calendar to the right. Please contact us if you have any questions, comments or feedback. We look forward to seeing you on campus!

New Updates in Housing

  • Cable Updates: Changes were made to the cable channel line-up based on a resident survey and a committee of student representatives. The Cable Channel Guide now includes the Disney Channel, HGTV, VH1Classic, Oxygen, Lifetime Movie Network, Soap Net, Sleuth, CBS College Sports, and Big 10 Network. More than 75 channels are offered in addition to seven local stations available in HD. Residents should report problems with cable service to ResNet via the Help Desk or (202) 319-4357. General comments about cable programming should be directed to Housing Services.
  • New Washing Machines: Housing Services has gone green with our laudry machines! All washing machines were replaced with new, energy-efficient, front-load washers. Since these machines use a lot less water, less soap is also needed. Tips on using these machines are in the newsletter and posted in laundry rooms.
  • Gibbons Renovation: The renovation of Gibbons Hall was completed in early summer. In addition to new bathrooms, residents enjoy the new laundry room and adjacent study room on the first floor and the renovated kitchen and lounge on the third floor. Pictures are available here.
  • New Mattresses: Regan and Ryan received new mattresses in mid-August.
  • New Carpet: Spellman received new carpet in the hallways and new flooring in the lounges in mid-August.

Space Available

Spaces are available for both undergraduate and graduate/law students who want to live on campus. The convenience, campus services, programs, and inclusive cost of on-campus housing make it a great place to live. Complete the Residence Hall and Dining Services Application and return it by mail or fax (202) 319-6262 to request your space on campus!

Room Selection 2010

On October 5th, Housing Services presented "Continuing Your Journey" an introduction to Room Selection 2010 for students new to CUA. The presentation was a part of Orientation Extended for the Class of 2013. "Continuing Your Journey" covered the important basics and provided information for students to prepare for selecting their own room for the 2010-11 academic year. The presentation can be found here.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Break

The residence halls remain open during Thanksgiving Break, but on campus services, including dining, will be limited. The residence halls close for Christmas Break on December 20th at noon. The halls re-open at noon for law residents on January 4th, new spring residents on January 9th, and continuing residents on January 10th.
