Important News & Dates

Spring 2008 Closing of the Residence Halls: Residents are reminded that they are expected to check out of their residence hall 24 hours after their last exam and no later than noon on May 11, 2008. Graduating students and approved Commencement volunteers are permitted to stay until noon on May 18, 2008. Residents should attend one of the closing meetings to be held the week of April 28th in the residence halls. Click here for additional information regarding Spring 2008 Closing.

Shipping & Storage Options: CollegeBoxes is the authorized storage and shipping company for Catholic University residents. The standard storage service for CollegeBoxes is for a 24”x16”x18” box holding up to 70 pounds, pickup service from students’ rooms, storage for the entire semester or summer term, flexible scheduling, and delivery to students’ rooms. Additionally, CollegeBoxes provides storage for refrigerators, chairs, bicycles, desks, futons, and most student residential items that may be difficult to pack. CollegeBoxes also provides storage options for students who study abroad. CollegeBoxes has exclusive rights to provide storage and shipping of residential items; other companies will not be authorized to market, solicit, or provide this service on campus. For more information please visit CollegeBoxes at www.collegeboxes.com  or 866-BOX-IT-UP or contact Housing Services at cua-housing@cua.edu or 202-319-5615.

Summer Housing for CUA Students: Information on summer housing opportunities for CUA Students is available here. In order to be eligible for an on-campus assignment through Housing Services during the summer, individuals must be a current CUA student or a visiting college student enrolled in summer courses at CUA. Current CUA students do not need to be enrolled in summer classes in order to be eligible for summer housing. This is a great opportunity for CUA students to pursue internships and other career opportunities in the DC area during the summer months.

Fall Room Selection: The lotteries for Room Selection have ended.  General information is available on the Room Selection Web site inlcuding links to housing options for students not required to live on campus (rising juniors and seniors) and ongoing room selection for students required to live on campus (rising sophomores).

MyHousing: Last year Housing Services introduced the MyHousing system. MyHousing, accessible through your Cardinal Station account, is a great resource to see your assignment, roommates, room phone number, mailbox and current housing-related billing charges. You will also be able to see which dining plan you are enrolled in and participate in the Room Selection Lotteries.

Off-Campus Housing Listings Online: From the Off-Campus Housing Resource Center students can search the listings, see the location depicted on a Google map, and access the property basics, distance, and travel time to CUA. By selecting a specific listing a student will receive detailed information regarding the property, as well as access to landlord information, directions to campus, and nearby metro rail and bus stops.

Construction Announcements: Information about Opus Hall and construction updates are available here.
