MyHousing

MyHousing, accessible through your Cardinal Station account, is a great resource to see your housing assignment, dining plan, roommates, room phone number, mailbox, and current housing-related billing charges. You can access MyHousing by logging onto Cardinal Station using your username and password and navigating to Student Self-Service > MyHousing. If you have misplaced your username or password, call the CUA Computer Help Desk for assistance at (202) 319-4357.

Opening and Closing of the Residence Halls

For 2009–2010 occupancy dates for undergraduates and graduates are:

  • Fall Opening — August 27 for new students and August 29 and 30 for returning students
  • Fall Closing — December 20
  • Spring Opening — January 9 for new residents and January 10 for continuing residents
  • Spring Closing — May 9 for nongraduating residents and May 16 for remaining residents

For law students occupancy dates are:

  • Fall Opening — August 11 for new law students and August 18 for returning law students
  • Fall Closing — December 20
  • Spring Opening — January 4
  • Spring Closing — May 13 for nongraduating law residents and May 22 for remaining law residents

Recent Updates in Housing

  • Cable Updates: Fall 2009 changes were made to the Cable Channel Guide based on a resident survey and a committee of student representatives. Residents should report problems with cable service to ResNet via the Help Desk or (202) 319-4357. General comments about cable programming should be directed to Housing Services.  
  • New Washing Machines: Housing Services has gone green with our laudry machines! Summer 2009 all washing machines were replaced with new, energy-efficient, front-load washers. Tips on using these machines are in the newsletter and posted in laundry rooms.
  • Gibbons Renovation: The renovation of Gibbons Hall was completed in Summer 2009. In addition to new bathrooms, residents enjoy the new laundry room and adjacent study room on the first floor and the renovated kitchen and lounge on the third floor. Pictures are available here.
  • New Mattresses: Regan and Ryan received new mattresses for Fall 2009.
  • New Carpet: Spellman received new carpet in the hallways and new flooring in the lounges in mid-August.

Space Available

Spring spaces are available for both undergraduate and graduate/law students who want to live on campus. The convenience, campus services, programs, and inclusive cost of on-campus housing make it a great place to live. Complete the Residence Hall and Dining Services Application and return it by mail or fax (202) 319-6262 to request your space on campus!

Room Selection 2010-2011

Housing Services is excited to present Room Selection 2010-11 - The Tradition Continues! Intent Forms are available in our office in 160 Cardinal Hall. Submit your Intent Form and $500 Housing Prepayment to participate in Room Selection; the deadline is February 19, 2010. To learn more about Room Selection please click here.

MicroFridge Rentals for Spring

There are a few MicroFridges available for the Spring. The rental cost is $120 and includes delivery of the unit to your room in January and collection in May. Please contact Collegiate Concepts via email at info@loftconcepts.com or phone at (888) 929-0806 to reserve your unit. More information is available here.
