Packing For College

Pack Realistically!

Keep in mind that your room at college will probably be a little smaller than your room at home - and you will most likely be sharing that space with at least one roommate. That being said, it is a good idea to get in contact with your new roommate(s) before you arrive at CUA to make sure that you aren't bringing duplicate items.

Remember, less is more! You can always go home to get something later (or have your family mail it to you). It is harder to find room to store things that you didn't really need. Visit this link for other Shopping Resources.

What To Bring For Your Room

What To Bring For The Bathroom

  • Personal Toiletries (Keep in mind, there is a CVS Drug Store within walking distance of CUA, so you can always get things once you arrive.)
  • Shower caddy
  • Shower shoes (flip-flops)
  • Towels and washcloths

Other Items to Consider

You should discuss all of the following items with your roommate. For some items, more than one per room is prohibited. For other items, having more than one per room may take up too much space.
