Mission and Vision

  

Mission

The Office of Housing Services supports the mission of the university by providing and managing well-maintained, safe and modern multi-use residential facilities that are responsive to the changing needs of students. Housing Services is responsible for the overall management of the campus housing system, which comprises 19 buildings and one group of 25 modular housing units, having a total capacity for approximately 2,600 residents. Housing Services is committed to providing facilities that meet student developmental needs, support the formation of community, and encourage the creation of seamless learning environments. Satellite offices are established in each of the neighborhood areas to provide residents more accessible, direct services.

 

Vision

 Housing Services will achieve its mission by:

  1. Establishing and maintaining facilities that ensure proper health and safety of residents.
  2. Maintaining a quality program for renovation and repair of facilities.
  3. Working cooperatively with other campus service departments to provide quality programs and facilities to students and guests.
  4. Establishing a climate for living that fosters and enhances educational and developmental opportunities for residents.
  5. Recruiting, selecting, training and retaining a high-quality staff in accordance with professional standards.
  6. Evaluating all aspects of the housing program in a systematic, regular manner.
  7. Ensuring fiscally sound management of the housing program.
  8. Implementing services that promote a positive image of The Catholic University of America and support the university's mission and financial security.
